下町で三代続く職人たちの挑戦。1950年から清澄白河で三代にわたって硝子加工業を営み、現在10人ほどしかいない、平切子と世界レベルと言われるサンドブラストを得意とし、両の技術を使った唯一無二の江戸切子「砂切子」を開発し作品を作っています。東京都知事賞受賞作他。
Shina Kiriko is the result of the challenging work of craftsmen who have been continuing their craft for three generations in a downtown area. Since 1950, they have been engaged in glass processing in Kiyosumi Shirakawa for three generations. They specialize in flat cut glass and world-class sandblasting and have developed a unique Edo Kiriko called "Suna Kiriko" that uses both techniques to create their works of art. Tokyo Governor's Award, and others.
■木象嵌Atelier k 神奈川県湯河原町 / Japanese Marquetry Art Atelier k Yugawara-cho, Kanagawa
木象嵌とは、様々な樹種の木々を図案に沿ってカットし、一枚の木板に嵌め込み、絵や図柄を表現する伝統技法です。
様々な制作方法がありますが、当アトリエでは神奈川県伝統工芸品でもある、「箱根木象嵌」の制作方法に倣い制作しております。
箱根では明治22年（1889年）から制作されておりますが、糸鋸ミシンを使い、1cm～1.5cmではめ込みをした種板をカンナで薄くスライスすることで量産をしております。また、輪郭線や毛などの細い線も木を使い表現しております。これらの技法は、他国の木象嵌には見られない唯一無二の技法となります。
着色を加えず、自然の木の色と木目から紡ぎ出される美しさを持つ、箱根で独自に進化した繊細な寄木細工をぜひご覧ください。
Marquetry is a traditional technique in which different types of wood are cut according to a design and applied to a single piece of wood to create pictures and patterns.
There are many variations of marquetry techniques, but our atelier practices the Hakone Marquetry technique, which is also a traditional craft of Kanagawa Prefecture.
Marquetry was made in Hakone beginning in 1889, and is mass produced by using a fret-sawing machine to make base boards with inlays of 1 cm~1.5 cm and thinly slicing those boards with a plane. The contours of facial features, as well as fine lines such as hair, are also created using wood.These are unique techniques that cannot be seen in marquetry made in other countries.
We invite you to take a look at the delicate marquetry art that has independently evolved in Hakone, Japan, which possess a beauty weaved from natural wood colors and wood grains without additional coloring.
■株式会社箔一 金箔工芸品 石川県金沢市 / HAKUICHI, Products of gold leaf, Kanazawa-city, Ishikawa
1975年創業。金沢市は、金箔の国内製造量の９８％以上を占め、金箔の街ともいわれています。
金箔はおよそ1万分の1〜2mmの薄さです。約2gの金を畳一畳分の大きさまで延ばすと、1万分の1mmという薄さとなります。極限の薄さまで延ばすには、卓越された職人技と、金箔づくりを左右すると言われている紙仕込み、金箔づくりに適した気候などあらゆる要素が必要とされています。加賀百万石の時代から400年以上の時を越え、金沢の地に継承されてきた金箔づくりの伝統を守り、人々に愛されて受け継がれる伝統でありたいと願い続けています。
Established in 1975. Kanazawa City accounts for more than 98% of the total amount of gold leaf produced in Japan, and is also known as the city of gold leaf.
Gold leaf is approximately 1/10,000 to 2 mm thin. When about 2 grams of gold is stretched to the size of a tatami mat, it becomes 1/10,000th of a millimeter thin. In order to stretch gold leaf to the utmost thinness, it requires all kinds of factors, including excellent craftsmanship, paper preparation, which is said to have a great influence on gold leaf production, and a climate that is suitable for gold leaf production. We continue to preserve the tradition of gold leaf making that has been handed down in Kanazawa for over 400 years since the time of Kaga Hyakumangoku, and hope that this tradition will be loved and handed down by the people.
